After I started working in the beauty department of a major pharmaceutical company, I was surprised to see that the executives never collected testimonials from satisfied customers for their varied products ranging from eyelash growth products to varicose veins treatments. One of the basic fundamentals of marketing any product is to collect as many testimonials and customer feedback as you can so you can learn what works and what doesn?t.
So my first order of business was to send the marketing team down to Times Square and distribute free beauty enhancement items as well as makeovers for the masses in exchange for a testimonial on paper or on video. We?ll have some of the top beauticians apply our special eyelash growth products, age spot treatments, and varicose veins treatments to anyone that wants. After they check themselves out on the big Nasdaq screen in Times Square, they?ll give a glowing testimonial for enhancing their eyelash growth or reducing their varicose veins. In return, they also receive a coupon for our products and a special post on our social media with their pictures. With testimonials, our eyelash growth, age spot treatments, and wrinkle creams can receive great publicity from the public and glowing praise for our products ? we can them use these testimonials in commercials and marketing.
Why my predecessors didn?t figure out this marketing tactic baffles me. On my watch, our beauty enhancement products will receive strong testimonials and should be able to increase sales from the friends and networks of the people who love our products. That?s Marketing 101!
